What is Lane Keep Assist?

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) is a feature of the renowned suite of safety technology in Honda vehicles, which is known as Honda Sensing®. How Does Lane Keep Assist Work?

Essentially, LKAS scans road markings and uses visual and tactile alerts to notify you if you start to drift from your lane without signaling. A Lane Departure warning will pop up in your Honda’s multi-information display, and the steering wheel will also begin to vibrate to get your attention quickly (this will be more helpful if you are getting drowsy on the Bellevue roads). If you do not take action immediately, the LKAS will provide steering input to keep your car centered.

Can I Turn Lane Keep Assist Off?

Yes, you can turn off the LKAS just like other Honda Sensing® driver assist features. Here’s how:

1. Press the MAIN button on the steering wheel until you see LKAS on the multi-information display.
2. Press LKAS.
3. You’ll see lane outlines on the display (dotted lines turn solid when the system is ready).
4. Press the MAIN or LKAS button to turn off the system.
